Our story · A Dutch legacy

Born on the
Dutch Coast

What began as a father’s pursuit of the perfect line in cold North Sea swell became a family calling.

Before Zeebrand had a name, there was a small coastal workshop, a planer, and a father who understood that no two waves—and no two riders—ask the same thing of a board. He shaped by eye and by feel, then took every new idea straight into the water.

His son grew up between foam dust and tide charts, first sweeping the floor, then learning to read a rail with his fingertips. The craft passed slowly: how to listen before cutting, how to respect the material, and how the North Sea exposes every shortcut.

Today that inherited knowledge meets modern composites and new ways of building. The tools have evolved, but the promise remains unchanged: make honest gear for the water we know, and make it well enough to pass on.
